If I were to die tonight?
Would The Devil Hold my hand real tight?
Drag me down within a deep dark pit
Or would he offer a Chair to sit?
If I had Died Yesterday?
Would it have been a better day?
On The Monday or The Weekend Say?
never deemed to be the perfect day for Me
To leave this Earth and Family
If by chance I leave tomorrow
And fill kind Hearts with dark sorrow
My body would be laid to rest
Neatly Posed one would guess
To look to be sound asleep
within My Dreams serene and deep
When it is my time to go
I'll take my wisdom and my Soul
I will surely see the light
My arms outstretched To angels Bright
Walking in The Footsteps of The great Unknown
Finding Peace in Heavenly Song
So I hope to spend more days with You
In Harmony and Love so True
My body would be laid to rest
Neatly Posed one would guess
To look to be sound asleep
within My Dreams serene and deep
I may leave and give the Devil his due
But be sure I will wait for You
In a perfect world We will meet again
I will sit and whistle a sweet refrain
Look for Me upon a Bench of Wood
Outside The Church where we once stood
