Telegraph Strut

On the street you look so dapper

That titfer tat a trilby capper

Smashing the blue tie and tonic suit

Your baggy strides and daisy roots

Cha Man Cha Man Cor blimey Gov "

Strutting down to the Telegraph

Buy a pint and chaser of Rum

Your utopia will soon come

Connect with your people down cold harbor lane

Play some dub  while playing the game

"Dominoes" The shout goes out

A double blank could take me out

Jump on the bus the number tree

To grab some goat and hot curry

Then down to Stockwell to place a bet

Long shot with the bucket but he aint dead yet

Cha Man Cha Man Cor blimey Gov "

Strutting down to the Telegraph

Buy a pint and chaser of Rum

Your utopia will soon come

Heist and Getaway

Well what a story I have for you And one that maybe quite eye opening too So please be careful and take heed And one day you yourself might succeed It started with a mighty plan One that we could all understand There were four of us that figured it out The greatest heist that folk would talk about The day was sunny and very warm The bees were buzzing in their swarm We were ready to take the prize to collect bags of swag of great size Arh yes we had guns but no bullets though No one was to get hurt in our game show We got the loot and headed for the door Where our getaway driver was for sure But we had a shocker as we left As the driver was gone ,we were bereft Where and what were we to do , Looking at each other Not one of us knew So ski masks off we all hopped on The mobility scooters one by one They were quite fast I must confess But not fast enough which caused us stress The police were on us in a flash The handcuffed us and took our cash The point of this story is Don’t let your getaway driver take the piss Leaving us stranded like he did We got nicked while he ran and hid But we’re still mates all of us Jail isn’t fun but we mustn’t cuss Times a great healer so they say And they say too that crime don’t pay Forgive and Forget is our motto now As we got too old to hold a job down So hear me now and I’ll say no more The balls in your court that’s for sure If you get into our line of business Pick your driver with awareness

Life Goes On

It’s quite lonely while I sit and watch I hear the ticking of the Mantel clock Every day and every lonely night

I try and make all things feel so right.

Cars pass back and forth on my street

Making me wonder who they may meet

outside my window life goes on

While I'm inside watching the great beyond
Do they have somewhere else to be None of them will ever meet me The mobile jungle out on the street Have their own shadows and drums to beat All strangers to me as they go by looking down missing the bluest of skies Missing natures beauty and reality In our worlds wondrous tapestry
It’s quite lonely while I sit and watch I hear the ticking of the Mantel clock Every day and every lonely night I try and make all things feel so right.
I guess there are many just like me Who sit inside and often see The rat race maze powered by greed Souls fail to see wild flowers and seed The beautiful scenery outside is lost To a concrete waste of brick and dust Some fail to make it through the rough While others cry when it gets tough It’s quite lonely while I sit and watch I hear the ticking of the Mantel clock Every day and every lonely night I try and make all things feel so right.

Ticking away the moments and days
Time moves on in mysterious ways
My window is my favorite view
As I recall my Days with You
