Dragon Knights

Once upon a time in days of old

The maids were pretty and there knight so bold

Maidens would swoon when he came in to view He was focused and ready for his debut He always noticed the row of maidens But had just one single declaration To slay the dragon in the far away land And come back to claim the princesses hand

It came to pass both night and day
The Dragon kept his love at Bay
His true appearance and real life hidden
From The The Kingdom forever now forbidden So off he rode on his brave journey The princess thought him almost worthy Her heart belonged to one who was cursed The dragon, the knights new quest and thirst When a sudden fear hit her heart Did the knight know where to start? She knew the dragon once long ago He wasn’t bad , he was once her beau
It came to pass both night and day
The Dragon kept his love at Bay
His true appearance and real life hidden
From The The Kingdom forever now forbidden
While the princess paced around The knight was tracking the dragon down He wandered near and far away Not knowing where the dragon lay The princess saddled up her mare And hoped she’d find her beau somewhere She hurried near and far away Not giving the Knight a chance to slay

It came to pass both night and day
The Dragon kept his love at Bay
His true appearance and real life hidden
From The The Kingdom forever now forbidden
Surrender knight the dragon roared Do it now you have been Warned The brave knight fought with shield and sword Not knowing the dragon could transform The knight fought hard to no avail He had to give up he knew he had failed Just then the princess joined the two And the dragon transformed, her lover true.

It came to pass both night and day
The Dragon kept his love at Bay
His true appearance and real life hidden
From The The Kingdom forever now forbidden

They made a pact to keep their distance The kingdom not knowing of the dragons appearance And to this day with hand on heart They vowed to make a brand new start

Once upon a time in days of old

The maids were pretty and there knight so bold .
