The years have gone by oh so fast Not noticing the shadows cast When we were young without a care Taking for granted the morning air

Life was a breeze and we had fun Fresh faces under the midday sun Music and fashion always went together We thought these trends would last forever

But time moved on and the music changed Fashion and music became disengaged Clean cut hair styles with shirts and suits Instead of Denim and Baseball Boots

Girls twirled around in petticoat frills Cute pony curls with beads of pearls Jukebox tunes played in the milkshake bar Keeping kids entertained like stars

So many dances came with the years Platform Sneakers and snakes skin gear We loved Rock n Roll, and the Lindy hop

Motown, Disco and Bubble gum pop I wish that time had not eroded A time when life for Teens exploded When music and fashion were fabulous For everyone yeah every one of us
