Life Goes On

It’s quite lonely while I sit and watch I hear the ticking of the Mantel clock Every day and every lonely night

I try and make all things feel so right.

Cars pass back and forth on my street

Making me wonder who they may meet

outside my window life goes on

While I'm inside watching the great beyond
Do they have somewhere else to be None of them will ever meet me The mobile jungle out on the street Have their own shadows and drums to beat All strangers to me as they go by looking down missing the bluest of skies Missing natures beauty and reality In our worlds wondrous tapestry
It’s quite lonely while I sit and watch I hear the ticking of the Mantel clock Every day and every lonely night I try and make all things feel so right.
I guess there are many just like me Who sit inside and often see The rat race maze powered by greed Souls fail to see wild flowers and seed The beautiful scenery outside is lost To a concrete waste of brick and dust Some fail to make it through the rough While others cry when it gets tough It’s quite lonely while I sit and watch I hear the ticking of the Mantel clock Every day and every lonely night I try and make all things feel so right.

Ticking away the moments and days
Time moves on in mysterious ways
My window is my favorite view
As I recall my Days with You
