Girly Girls

Did you ever date a  girly girl

With silky hair and gorgeous curls

Satin Jeans and Baseball cap

Baseball pumps or ankle straps

So feminine never looking like chaps

Kept us guessing while under wraps

What ever happened to soft smooth skin

No tattoos on the thigh or shin

Those woman with such vogue and class

Turning our heads as they walked past

An over the shoulder sneaky glance

Knowing we didn't ever  stand a chance

What ever happened to Girly Girls

Heels Nylons skirts and petticoat  frills

A look that drove a young man wild

Coupled with that lip gloss smile

A show of a bra strap would be so rare

Seen only in a game of truth or dare

We adored the taste of candy cool

While dancing at the date night hall

Those woman with such vogue and class

Turning our heads as they walked past

An over the shoulder sneaky glance

Knowing we didn't ever stand a chance

Boogie walk, Jive and slide

Riding in cars side by side

Those long front seats were such bliss

When leaning in for that kiss

Red lip gloss upon those lips

That sexy waist and swinging hips

Looking cute in polka dots

Now baggy tees and trainer socks

Those woman with such vogue and class

Turning our heads as they walked past

An over the shoulder sneaky glance

Knowing we didn't ever stand a chance

What ever happened to the beach bikini

Where is the girl in the sixties Mini

What ever happened to style and grace

Where is the girl with an Angels face

Now days there is no classic looks

Just tattooed backs and bra strap hooks

The days of Satin pop bottle shapes

Replaced by trackies and those vapes

Give us woman with vogue and class

Turning our heads as they walk past

An over the shoulder sneaky glance

Knowing we can dream or stand a chance

What ever happened to Girly Girls

OOOOOOH Girly Girls Ohhhhhhh  Girly girls.

Love them shy but Girly Girls.

Love them love them Girly Girls

Give us woman with vogue and class

Turning our heads as they walk past

An over the shoulder sneaky glance

Knowing we can dream or stand a chance
