Climbing Ladders and Slipping down snakes

Maybe a game but its all it takes

To make you strong or feel so weak

Just like a smack across your cheek

The after shock last a second or more 

Just like the slam of your front door

We are never prepared for when things go wrong

that's why we turn to a meaningful song

I never realized that love could hurt

feeling and treated just like dirt

The opposite to how it once felt

with an arm round your shoulder and a feeling that helped

One day your world comes crashing down

A grin to a grimace A smile to a frown

If you have ever played Monopoly buying little green houses your destiny

Mortgaged to the hilt while working hard

But losing it all after turning a card

Community Chest would give you hope

Then on a throw of the dice its the slippery slope

Take care of your loved ones friends and family too

prepare for downpours and the turn of the tide

Waiting your turn and taking the blame

moving ahead not thinking twice

Your just there to play your part

but if things go wrong it could break your Heart

with No chance of going back to the start
