When Paddy walked into the Ale House
A drink for Me barman he swiftly announced
The Tender was somebody new
Not aware of Paddy's usual brew
For this is Dublin and not blooming Perth
The Black and white from gods earth
Nothing else will do instead
Pour it slow and raise its head.
Before he could deliver Paddy's Perfect Drink
He had to himself a quizzical think
Aha he said" We have good ales for you to taste
Please don't let them go to waste
Oh No no no " That would not do"!
I just want my usual brew
The one that's Dark with sweet nectar too
For me please pour the Guinness Brew
For this is Dublin and not blooming Perth
The Black and white from gods earth
Nothing else will do instead
Pour it slow and raise its head.
The Tender turned a shade of pale
And continued to pour a different Ale
He suggested with a little wisp
How about a Vodka Twist
Oh no not for me as Vodka will only get me pissed
How about a Dew bonnay mixed with Fizzy Cherryade
Or whiskey sour, with Single Malt albeit a little delayed
Are you some kind of Eejit from the land down under
Trying me patience with these blunders
Oh this is Dublin and not blooming Perth
The Black and white from gods earth
Nothing else will do instead
Pour it slow and raise its head.
Your done all your slagging
And I've heard enough
Serve me my pint as I'm feeling so rough
Pour it thick and do it quick
The pure black stuff like oil so slick
How's about Old peculiar
Hold on a mo that sounds familiar
What's that name coming from your Mouth
Is it beer from the wood You serve down South?
"Yes paddy we do serve it draft Straight from barrels
So try a Half
Not for me or fill me bath
For this is Dublin and not blooming Perth
The Black and white from gods earth
Nothing else will do instead
Pour it slow and raise its head.
Do as I ask Don't make me swear
The words from my throat soon you will hear
Are you sure that you have done this before
I swear you will start a Third world war.
This is My Dublin and not blooming Perth
The Black and white from gods earth
Nothing else will do instead
Pour it slow and raise its head.
