Never Too Old

In the morning light when the echoes play
Music's my earth wind fire & water every day

Un- Devoted Daughter tho the times can get tough
She's my best friend a comfort when the road gets rough
Stay with me baby while I fight the law.
You know I never back down "Sing through every flaw"

Didn't know what time it was Bowie would croon.
Star man on the dark side of the moon
Your never to old to do the stroll,
Your never too young to play Rock n Roll

Simon and Garths Uncle sang to Emily
The James Gang played we danced so free
Parkers in pink so Hold back the Night.
Play Quadrophenia, dream until the light

The Rebel Yelled  You tore that Dress.
Elvis records spinning Blues in a mess
Hunter/ Ronson on A Ferry Cover
Sons and Lovers wish I were your Mother

Your never too old to do the stroll,
Your never too young to play Rock n Roll

Smokey's Miracle Smoke in our eyes.
Alice aint desperate for a halo of flies.
Point that Bad Finger at Baby Blue
Stand in the Road with Blackfoot Sue.

Dave hears you knocking at Rock fields Farm.
Bolan's Zipgun wont ever do you  harm.
Scots of Nazareth shot me right down.
Kinks made me cry over the death of a clown

With every note my heart beats along
In this indie world that's where I belong
Memories wrapped and melodies drifting away
With every chord I'll lose my dismay

From the vinyl that spins to the digital flow
Music's my anchor gotten where to go

Your never too old to do the stroll,
Your never to young to play Rock n Roll

So lets dance to the rhythm, feel the bass in our bones
In this sonic landscape we'll make our home
With every verse I'll find a piece of me
Among the notes and chords I'm finally free
